About
"In an age of light and darkness Zeus, King of the Gods, rules the universe. He had a son, young Hercules. Half-god, half-man, young Hercules longs to find his place in this world... the father he's never known, and what it means to be a hero. Before the man became legend... before the legend became myth... came the greatest adventure of all... young Hercules".
Young version of Hercules first appeared in season 4 of "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" TV series. He was portrayed by Ian Bohen. In first feature film which serves as prologue into TV series, Ian Bohen also played young Hercules. In "Young Hercules" TV series the role was given to Ryan Gosling. Young Hercules
Wed, 25 Feb· 93 minBefore the TV series, earlier the same year, a feature length movie was released under the same name, Young Hercules. The story revolves around retrieving the golden fleece as Hercules (played by Ian Bohen) goes with his two trusty friends, Iolaus (a thief) and Jason (a young prince), and a girl he meets at the academy. Kevin Smith once again appears as Ares and tries to mess up Hercules' plans. It is worth mentioning that when young Hercules originally appeared in season 4 of "Hercules: The Legenday Journeys", he was always played as Ian Bohen, and the same actor played young Hercules in this prologue movie. In TV series Ryan Gosling took the role of young Hercules. Both actors who played Iolaus and Jason remained the same throughout all series and/or movies.
