Sports writer Sam Alston and his cosmetics-executive wife Penny each envy the other's life. One day, Penny buys a small statue from a gypsy which turns out to have the magical power to grant wishes. The next morning, Sam and Penny each discover that they have switched bodies. Once they realize that the switch is not going to simply wear off, they both try to adjust without letting anyone know about it: Sam discovers what it is like to live as a woman and Penny as a man.

Turnabout
Sat, 27 Jan· 30 minWhile passing a Gipsy antique shop, the wife Penny, sees a little buddba-like statue - and she must have it. The Gipsy tells her that the statue has magical powers and, when the time is right, can make wishes come true. At night, as Penny and Sam lie in bed chatting about their boring day-to-day routines, she casually says: "I wish we could change places with each other." Next morning they find the wish has been granted — much to Penny's horror. She makes her shocking discovery in the bathroom. She strides about the house with a butch voice and manner, while puffing on a cigar — and Sam moves around with limp wrists and an effeminite mince. What will they do? They are due at work that morning, and later at night, have a dinner date with their neighbours. When they dine out at a classy restauranl and argue at the top of their voices, Sam demands to be taken home, clutching a handbag under his arm.
