Maya

Terry Bowen begins searching for his missing hunter-father in India. Two teenagers, an American boy who refuses to believe his father was killed on a hunting expedition, and an Indian lad whose pet is an elephant called "Maya," travel around the countryside in India, seeking vicarious adventures.

While searching a village for a hunter he believes might be his missing father, Terry is locked in a barn with a raging bull by the town's evil ruler.

Terry and Raji meet with a setback when they try to tame a wild boy raised by tigers. Maya, forced to kill a tigress, must now contend with the boy's determined efforts to take revenge.

The boys come to a village terrorised by a mysterious being.

Terry is hurt when a bunch of crooks raid a town.

When his plane malfunctions, a jewel thief parachutes out and attempts to steal the boys' elephant for a quick getaway.

Terry and Sajid join a circus led by a man named Mirrcan the magician, hoping to elude their pursuers.

Jerry and Raji are duped into working for a treasure hunter who is after buried gold. Posing as an archeologist, Matt Collins hires the boys for a few days of digging—then schemes to dispose of them.
