Talk Ville

Season 9 begins!! Clark has gone full emo vigilante. Zod has arrived. Lois returns from her brief trip to the future. Chloe and Oliver grieve Jimmy in their own unique ways. The show has taken a new shape and we are all trying to wrap our heads around this direction. Tom talks about his new role as an Executive Producer and Michael...is still not on the show. But will he be roped in to these new shenanigans? We're getting asked a lot of questions that we don't have the answers to but by golly we're gonna talk it out. We're going to learn a lot about ourselves this season. So throw on your darkest, flowiest trench coats and join us!

The legend Brian Austin Green joins us today to discuss his role as the titular villain Metallo. We talk about how he sunk his teeth into such a dark role in spite of how uncomfortable the breastplate was. Maybe that's what made him angry, but who's to say? In the episode, as Clark contends with this bad guy with a vendetta against him specifically, Tess inches closer to the Kandorians and Lois gets closer to the Blur. Join us for a deeply insightful conversation and stay for another musical treat from Ryan at the end.

Today our guest is Dr. Emil Hamilton himself: the unflappable Alessandro Juliani! We talk about how the show confirmed his career as an actor, his epic sideburns, and Tom's diva behavior on set. We're happy to have him as the clear standout character in this episode. Yes, sir, this is the zombie one. A virus breaks out in Metropolis and we learn about how everyone would handle the apocalypse. The results are mixed but the banter is on point. Join us for a fun one!

We recovered from the zombies (kinda) and now it's on to some good old fashioned mind-reading. In the episode, when Clark saves a factory from an explosion, the blast temporarily gives him the ability to hear everyone's thoughts, most notably, Lois's. And who will finally lift Oliver out of a dark place? His bitter ex/business partner Tess? Or his bitter whimsical nemesis the Toyman? Major props to Justin Hartley here as well. We're still not sure where this season is headed, but we're having a great time along the way. Join us for a quick jaunt!

Action! Espionage! Seduction! Betrayal! Redemption? This episode has it all. Oliver is kidnapped by a stranger who happens to know a lot more about him than he realizes. It's a slight diversion from the story at large but it gets our fave emerald archer back on track. We get into its deeper meaning. It's about friends pulling you out of ruts. Recognizing the potential in yourself. How much you soil yourself when you get tased. All this will be explored and answered. Join us!

It's finally happening. Clark and Lois. Lois and Clark. Clois. No red K. No mind-altering. The real deal. But first they have to audition to be on the Metropolis morning show for some reason. And as Oliver closes his own Lois chapter, he opens a new one as a mentor to Mia, a woman in need of a speedy nudge in the right direction. In the spirit of turning over new leafs, Rosenbaum is starting to come around on this season. How long can we keep him up here? How do Clark's t-shirts remain indestructible? How many Daves are in this episode? All this and more will be answered. Hopefully.

This week, is a study group on Kandorian history. Clark's father, Jor-El, has finally made his way to Earth. But how much of the old him is it? What does he remember? Why does he kinda look like the guy from Men at Work? Most importantly, we find out how Jor-El's friendship with Zod became fractured in ways resemblant of the friendship between Clark and Lex. We bring on our pal Derek Russell from The House of El podcast to help shed some light on this dense, but important episode.
