Yanineko is a heavy smoker who loves cigarettes, alcohol, and laziness above all else. He picks up cigarette butts, suffers withdrawal symptoms during his part-time job, and spends his meager savings on cigarettes... His landlord is about to burst with frustration over his cat-eared resident who spends all his money on cigarettes instead of paying rent. Then one day, his responsible younger sister, Imoko, contacts him asking him to "send pictures of his room." Yanineko's greatest crisis is about to begin... How pathetic.

Having run out of nicotine, Yani-neko goes to his younger neighbor, Yaku-neko, to beg for a cigarette. The two cats are constantly bewildered by the strange behavior of their junior, but somehow they end up hanging out together. However, the suspicious smoke and suspicious words and actions make everything about Yani-neko unsettling. In the midst of all this, Yani-neko is offered a part-time job and begins to talk to Yaku-neko about the "free way of life." It's fine to live life your own way, but Yani-neko, at least get to work. For the sake of tomorrow's nicotine.

Yanineko joined the kids' soccer game in the park, but was reported as a suspicious person. Well, that's to be expected. Back at his apartment, he was once again yelled at, lectured, and ordered to quit smoking by his landlord. But this guy shows absolutely no remorse. In the end, he's made to weed the garden instead of paying rent, but Yanineko's gaze is fixed on the landlord's cabbage patch... Yanineko, who somehow only causes trouble no matter how much she tries to help others or how hard she works, gets fired from her part-time job and ends up working as an assistant to Ochinpo Tatsuro, an erotic manga artist who lives in the same apartment building. Meanwhile, Alneko disappears during a drinking party and is somehow found on Enoshima Island. That's quite a distance away. Today, Yanineko and the others are operating as usual. And there are signs of a new problem at the beastman apartment (please stop already...). Three assistants from the beastman dispatch company arrive at the room of Ochinpo Tatsuro, who is facing a deadline. Tears begin to fall on Tatsuro's workplace.

A cat with bad sleeping habits accidentally draws a magic circle and summons the "Nicotine Demon"! However, the demon can't stand the sheer dirtiness and filth of the room and bounces back immediately... While the world is saved by the filthy room, the cat who wants to earn a lot of money gets a job cleaning a shady underground facility through a temp agency. Meanwhile, Penpen Cat's landlord tries to kindly welcome him back to his apartment after his house was swept away by a typhoon, but an unexpected accident occurs. Don't stand up.

November 11th is Yanineko's birthday. She thought there would be no one to celebrate with her—but it turns out her younger sisters had planned a surprise party. They're kind of nice. However, a mistake in contacting Yanineko herself is discovered... Meanwhile, in the winter apartment, the landlord is somehow trapped in a terrifying "New Year's mochi-making loop."
